Negligent
employees can be fined up to $25,000 and/or imprisoned for up
to 12 months.
Negligent employers can be fined up to $500,000 in addition to
a 25% victim charge.
The
WSIB's WorkWell Audit program issues an additional premium charge
to employers who have not taken sufficient precautions to prevent
accidents in the workplace.
